Home prices growing at slowest pace in 8 years

Mortgage rates continue to drop (Philadelphia Daily News)

Mortgage rates around the country fell this week, with rates on 30-year mortgages dipping to the lowest level since January. Mortgage giant Freddie Mac reported yesterday that 30-year, fixed-rate mortgages averaged 6.14 percent, down from 6.18 percent last week. That was the lowest rate since the week of Jan. 26, when 30-year mortgage rates averaged 6.12 percent.
