Looking for details of mortgage-based bond funds (Financial Times)  I recently read about a type of mortgage-based bond fund that has a higher return rate than corporate bonds. I can?t find out anything more about this. Can you help?read

WaMu Ditches the Wholesale Mortgage Biz (BusinessWeek Online via Yahoo! News)

Troubled thrift giant Washington Mutual , once one of the biggest players in residential mortgages, will stop making loans through independent mortgage brokers—what the industry calls the “wholesale” side of the business. Instead the company will focus on loans through its 2,200 retail bank branches.
