Justice Department looks for crimes tied to mortgage crisis

“People are looking at the law to see to what and to whom it might apply.”

The U.S. Justice Department is conducting a broad review of the subprime lending crisis to see if there is a “larger criminal story” to the mortgage meltdown, Attorney General Michael Mukasey said Friday. via Pittsburgh Tribune-Review
