North Texas existing-home sales fell 8 percent in 2007, according to figures from the North Texas Real Estate Information System.
The median price of a home sold in 2007 held steady, up just 1 percent for the year, according to the figures.
December was a particularly brutal month for the 29-county area that stretches from the Red River to just north of Waco, with sales down 25 percent compared with December 2006. Only 5,257 homes sold in the region in December, compared with 6,990 homes sold in December 2006. Read more
