A state agency that registers builders and oversees home-building complaints has fined eight firms—two of them from North Texas.
Vector Builders of Fort Worth was fined $2,500 for renewing its application with the Texas Residential Construction Commission a year late, said Patrick Fortner, agency spokesman. A call to the company was not returned.
Trammell Properties of Dallas was fined $1,060 for misidentifying its corporate status on an August 2005 application, Fortner said. Efforts to reach the company were unsuccessful. Read more
