Slowing home sales in other parts of the country are prompting builders to flee to the growing Charlotte region.
Many of the companies are new to the market, but the latest entry—Walker Madison—is both new … and old.
One of local industry’s most recognizable names—Downie Saussy—joined with home building veterans Chip Shelton and Jack Furr to found the firm.
Saussy, who left home builder Saussy Burbank in 2000 after it was purchased by Arvida, has spent the past few years in land brokerage and development. Read more
