Mortgage applications jump in latest week (Market Watch) WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- The volume of mortgage applications at major U.S. banks rose sharply last week, the Mortgage Bankers Association reported Wednesday.
As a result of a temporary cease and desist order, people wishing to get a loan from Mortgage Lenders Network USA Inc. are no longer able to do so. The Middletown-based company received the order from the Connecticut banking commissioner Friday.
