Dear Bob: I am planning to sell my home and buy another. My daughter is willing to move in with me. I would like to add her name to the deed so she can deduct half of the home’s mortgage interest and property taxes on her income tax each year. Can this be done if I add her to the deed but not to the mortgage?—Shirley M.
