30-Year Mortgage Rates Rise for 5th Week (Minneapolis-St. Paul Star Tribune)

WASHINGTON (AP) – Rates on 30-year mortgages rose for the fifth consecutive week, hitting their highest level in nearly four years, a nationwide survey of rates reported Thursday. Mortgage giant Freddie Mac said rates on 30-year, fixed-rate mortgages averaged 6.58 percent this week, up from 6.53 percent last week.
