NEW YORK, Aug. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/—Mortgage rates increased for the fifth consecutive week and are now the highest since the week of April 13. The average 30-year fixed rate mortgage climbed from 5.84 percent to 5.91 percent, according to Bankrate.com’s weekly national survey of large lenders.
